  • E-Tickets & Wristband Exchange

When you buy your festival ticket in advance you will receive an e-ticket (one month before the festival) via email that you must bring with you, either printed or on your mobile device. We will NOT dispatch wristbands by post ahead of the festival.

For advance purchasers, whether camping or coming in for the day, you will exchange your e-tickets for festival wristbands when you arrive on site, either at Wristband Exchange or Box Office.

    Opening hours:
Wristband Exchange (in the car park)
    Thu: 10 AM – 10 PM

    Box Office
    Thu: 10 AM – 10 PM
    Fri, Sat & Sun: 8:30 AM – 6 PM

Wristbands lost or removed from your wrist or tampered with will be rendered invalid and you will be required to purchase a replacement.

Please use a permanent marker to write a contact number on children’s wristbands. In the event that your child becomes separated from you, we can then contact the designated parent/guardian.

If you are buying your tickets onsite (not in advance), you will be wristbanded at the point of payment – the Festival Reception/Box Office.

E-tickets will be sent out via email in early August. If you haven’t received your ticket by mid-August, check your junk email folder and if it’s not there – log in to your Kaboodle account to download them directly.

  • Car Parking Passes

All cars will need a parking pass – one per vehicle. If you are coming to the festival by car, you will need to have purchased an e-ticket car pass*, and need to display it clearly in your windscreen before you arrive at the site.

*If you have not yet purchased a car parking pass, please do so here before you arrive as this will save you delays on arrival.

  • What to expect on Thursday

We’ll be open to arriving Greenbelters from 10 am on Thursday 27th August

Thursday is yours – it’s Yourday. It’s all about arrivals, reunions and settling in. Getting parked up, set up and caught up. Take your time and get your campsite bearings through the day as tents go up and the sun goes down.

That isn’t to say that you’ll be left entirely to your own – and your crew’s – devices though. As we know, Jesus’ Arms are always open and Thursday evening (from 6pm) will be no exception. Not forgetting the Parched Pilgrim, our bar in the campsite. There will also be a few other drinks and food vans and outlets open in the Glade arena and the Campsite Hub serving on that first night.

Obviously though, if everyone on site heads to the handful of food and drink establishments open on the first night, you might be waiting a while. We’d definitely recommend being able to feed your clan yourself that first night, as the festival proper – and all its amenities – will be up and running fully from Friday onward.

Friday will be our first full-fat festival day. The festival village opens at 9 am and programming starts shortly after.

  • Caravan Permits and arrivals

Ticket sales for our last festival at Boughton House are looking good. Like, really rather splendid. So much so, that it looks like we’ll reach our capacity for campervan/caravan places in the next few weeks. If you’re planning to come for the weekend with your campervan or caravan – and you’ve not yet got your tickets – don’t wait until the last minute to book your spot.

If you are bringing a caravan, motorhome, camper van or trailer tent to the festival you will need a Campervan Field Pass. These can be purchased through our online Box Office, and will be emailed to you as an e-ticket to print out in early August.

    Arrivals

    1. Print and display your campervan pass in your windscreen before you set off!
    2. Drive straight to the campervan field and get parked up — please note, the campervan field layout has changed, so check with a steward before going to your ‘usual spot’!
    3. If you have a car, move it to the designated car park
    4. Head to Wristband Exchange / Box Office to get your wristbands

    Regulations:

    • Your caravan / camper van must be no longer than nine metres.
    • 1 x awning or 1 x small (2-3 person) ‘pup tent’ will be permitted alongside.
    • You cannot use a camper van field permit to bring a large or multiple tent(s) to the caravan field. Anyone attempting to do so will be moved to the main camping area. Camper van field permits they are for caravans, motorhomes, camper vans and trailer tents only.
    • Power should be drawn from a separate battery and not your car battery, as your vehicle will not be permitted to stay next to your caravan or trailer tent.
    • Once you’ve positioned your caravan or trailer tent, please move your car (keeping the pass displayed in the windscreen) promptly to the official car park.
    • Campervans:
      • A ‘suitably converted campervan’, whether made or converted, must have sufficient seatbelts for the number of intended passengers, doors which are easily openable from the inside, and suitable ventilation.
      • Any gas installation must be competently installed with a means of detecting harmful emissions.
      • Electrical systems must be suitably earthed and fitted with circuit breakers.
      • The vehicle must be equipped with a fire extinguisher.
      • Heating by means of burning combustible fuels is not permitted.
      • If a campervan does not meet these requirements it may result in the party being refused access. Please ensure that your campervan meets these requirements before heading to site.

    Please note:

    • There are no electrical hook-ups available onsite.
    • Portable toilets will be available in the caravan area, along with Elsan points.
    • On-site campervan field pitches are allocated on a first-come first-served basis.

    Getting to site

Get your very own personalised low-carbon travel plan using The Greenbelt Travel Assistant brought to you by You Smart Thing. See all the best low-emission travel options based on your location, plus get personalised travel updates.

Greenbelt is taking place in the grounds of Boughton Estate close to the house, but as you approach please ensure you follow the Greenbelt Festival AA signs and not signs to Boughton House. Do not approach the estate via Geddington or Grafton Underwood. (The house will be open to the public over the weekend. Its entrances are completely separate to the festival’s and you will not be able to gain access via them.)

    From North, West & Southwest
Please exit the A14 at Junction 10.

    From the East & Southeast
    Please exit at Junction 12.

Then follow the AA signage to Greenbelt Festival. Please do not approach the Estate via any other routes as this will cause you unnecessary delay.

If you are using a SatNav you can use the postcode: NN14 3AG until you exit the A14. After that, please follow the AA signs and not your SatNav. If all else fails, here is the what3words for the festival entrance: sprouts.wreck.tractor

Before you arrive onsite please display your car park pass, and, if appropriate, campervan pass permit, in the centre of your windscreen. This will ensure quickest access to the car parks. Vehicles without passes displayed will be pulled off to one side where they will have to purchase the necessary passes before proceeding, causing them delays in accessing the festival.

  • Travelling by bike

We encourage all our cycling enthusiasts to pedal their way to the festival. It’s not only eco-friendly, but it’s also a fantastic way to kickstart your Greenbelt adventure amidst nature. Plus, it’s a great warm-up for the weekend’s festivities! For a detailed route from Kettering Rail Station to the festival grounds, check out our recommended path on OS or Google Maps.

We offer a designated area near the box office reception where you can securely lock up your bike, but please note this is done so at your own risk.

Prefer to keep your bike closer? Feel free to keep your bike right in your tent if that’s your preference. Or near the Campsite office – located at the top of the hill in general camping.

For the safety and comfort of all festival attendees, we ask that you dismount your bike while navigating any of the festival grounds. However, you are welcome to use your bike to ‘walk’ your gear and panniers to your camping spot.

Bikes are not permitted in the festival village at any time.

As a little thank you from us to you for travelling greener, anyone who has not travelled to Greenbelt by car can claim a free voucher bundle at the festival. Find out more here.

  • Period Provisions

Living in a field for four days is an adventure. But – let’s face it – it also brings a very unique set of challenges. One of those being what to do if you’re on your period during the festival. So in case these are helpful, here are our top tips for having a happy Greenbelt. Period.

    1. Forgot your products? Not to worry. We’ve got a stash of free supplies on hand for emergencies. Just head over to First Aid or the Info Booth. The lovely folk there can help you out.
    2. To flush or not to flush? Unlike normal loos, you can flush your tampons and pads down the plastic port-a-loos. Although, we’d rather you didn’t do that. Here’s why. All port-a-loo waste goes through water treatment after the festival, sorting it into different ‘types’ of waste (gross, we know). The more period products down the loo, the more water we’ll end up using to sort them, and that’s not great for the environment. We’d love if you could wrap your products in toilet paper and drop them in the nearest general waste bin. But we know that solution won’t work for everyone. So the choice — to flush or not to flush — is ultimately yours.
    3. Here’s the long drop When it comes to the compost loos there’s not as much choice in the matter and no fancy water treatment system. Period products cannot go in the compost loos. Please wrap them in tissue and drop them in the nearest general waste bin.
    4. For moon cup users There are three accessible toilets on site with running water you can use to rinse your cup. Just be aware you might have to queue, and that these toilets are primarily for people with disabilities and access needs; people who often don’t have the luxury of choice to use other toilets like you might. There are microwaves in the Parent Support Venue which can be used to sterilise your cup in an emergency, but please wash your cup thoroughly before taking it there and be mindful this venue is primarily used by parents. If it’s not urgent, please sterilise your cup at home rather than at the festival.

  • Chairs

We know that many of you like to bring a chair to settle down with in the venues. The problem is that not everyone has chairs with them, but we want everyone to be able to see and engage with the programming. So, if you’re with a chair, please pitch it towards the back of the venue, behind those settling in on the grass. Low level chairs (no legs, just a back support, designed for camping and festival-ing) are fine. But full-size camping chairs require more thoughtfulness. Please be considerate in where you plonk yourself, and, if the stewards ask you move into a ‘designated chairs area’, then please co-operate as cheerfully as you know how.

    Thu: 12-noon to midnight
    Fri, Sat & Sun: 6 – 10 am, 11:30 am – 2:30 pm and 5 pm – 12 am
…and one in the children and family venue area in The Orchard in the festival village.

  • Access

Greenbelt aims to make the festival site as accessible as possible with wheelchair access, viewing platforms, scooter-chair recharging facilities, BSL signing, hearing loops and rest facilities provided where physically possible. It is much easier for us to arrange support for your needs ahead of the festival rather than onsite, so please fill out an access form which you can find online here. Please try to fill this in as soon as you can and by 13th August at the latest.
Filling out our pre-booking form will also enable us to send you information in the week running up to the festival.

We offer designated camping spaces for disabled people – as individuals or with family or friends. If you would like to camp in these areas it is essential to pre-book here. You can inform us of your queries and pre-book on the same form.

  • Fire Safety

We permit: Camping stoves, please place off the ground with an extinguisher or water close by. BBQs brought onto site must be raised off the ground, stable and use gas or coal.

We do not permit: Personal generators, open fires, wood burners, wood fires or sky lanterns.

Please do not change any gas cylinders in your tent, or while there is another stove or naked light in use nearby and always check the new cylinder is securely fitted before using. Please ensure a reasonable distance (at least 60cm) between stove and windbreak and never leave any apparatus unattended. If you are involved in a tent fire, get yourself and all other members of your party out as quickly as possible. Only tackle the fire if you feel safe doing so. You must summon assistance from the onsite emergency services, no matter how small the incident is, or even if it has already been dealt with. If you require any further fire safety advice at the festival, or if you are unsure about any of the above, don’t hesitate to ask one of the Fire Team patrolling the campsites or at the Campsite Information Point.

In the event of fire or a medical emergency:

    • Raise the alarm
    • Make contact with a steward (wearing yellow hi-visibility jackets) and make sure you can describe the location of the fire or emergency.

  • Campsite Safety

Camping space is available on a first-come, first-served basis. To ensure that everyone has fair access to the camping areas, reserving space is not permitted (with the exception of pre-bookable Disabled Camping).

Routeways for authorised emergency and service vehicles are denoted by striped marker tape. Please do not camp in these areas.

A minimum distance of 1.5m must separate all tents and gazebos.

Remember, the campsite is a public space and the security of your accommodation cannot be guaranteed. We recommend leaving your valuables at home and reporting any suspicious activities immediately to stewards.

Greenbelt operates a Challenge 25 policy, so if you’re lucky enough to look under 25, please bring the appropriate ID, as an adult wristband does not prove your age. There is also a non-alcoholic bar on site (the Hope and Anchor). Under 18s will only be admitted to the Jesus Arms if accompanied by a supervising adult.
