The Enfeeblement of Jesus

Did he ever shout, get livid, make sarcastic comments, knowingly engineer trouble? Or was he always mild, obedient, meek, gentle, sweet and patient? Or are there two Jesuses? John Bell leads an excursion into the darker sides of Jesus as a remedy to feeble faith.

John Bell is a hymn-writer, a Church of Scotland minister and a member of the Iona Community. He lectures in theological colleges in the UK, Canada and the United States, but is primarily concerned with the renewal of congregational worship. He also appears on BBC Radio 4’s Thought for the Day.
