Home is where the art is, and as a result Greenbelt is the first thing in Harry’s calendar every year.
From forming a band and performing in the Underground stage as a way to get free tickets as a plucky 17 year old, Harry has grown as a performer and a human being within the festival and had the pleasure of running the Woken Spurred showcase in recent years, bringing some of the best poets from around the country to one of the best audiences.
Harry’s work has been shared on TED.com and viewed by millions around the world, as well as being translated into more than 15 languages. He recently found out that if you type ‘poetry’ into YouTube his face is the first thing that comes up but needs to check whether this happens on anyone’s computer other than his own before getting excited.
Since last Greenbelt, Harry has founded the popular monthly Joyride show on London’s South Bank and toured the UK with his Harry and Chris show together with support from Gecko. He’ll be back at Edinburgh this summer and come hotfoot to Greenbelt from his run there.
