Katie Lewis is passionate about creating sculptures with fabric using print, text and stitch.
Katie is fascinated by why humans have the desire to touch or react towards something unexpected and this is explored throughout her work.
She encourages people to interact with her art, to manipulate and touch the fabric to reveal any concealed text. Her words and statements encourage further interaction between artwork and the viewer as they draw on our curiosity, making her pieces enticing and appealing.
Katie is currently running an after school arts club specialising in textile banners at High Ash C of E Primary School, Milton Keynes.
