Alastair Pearson and Charlie Irvine

Alastair Pearson is a family/systemic therapist with an interest in how ideas and practices used in family therapy can be of help in all areas of life.

He has been exploring how to do this with artists and musicians as part of the Trust Greenbelt supported Art of Forgiveness Project.

Charlie Irvine is a former professional musician with a long Greenbelt history. As guitarist/songwriter in two bands – Talking Drums (mid-80s) and Lies Damned Lies (late 80s – present), he has toured, recorded, signed deals and been through the pain of being ‘dropped’ as well as the inevitable musical and personal differences of band breakups.

He now works as a mediator and is Course Leader on Strathclyde University’s Masters in Mediation and Conflict Resolution, where he is a Visiting Professor. Charlie writes on emotion, the arts, conflict and justice.
