We're somewhere to believe in

We’re somewhere artistry meets activism, where the political meets the practical. We’re somewhere to come together once a year, where we’re as likely to dream up a better world as we are to dance and debate, to pray and to party.

We were founded a long time ago by a bunch of misfits in a field. We’re still in a field. And we’re still somewhere that welcomes anyone and everyone.

We hope that what you see in our lineup announcements fires you up as much as it has excited us in the making of it. We hope it gives you a flavour, a hint, of what will unfold in the field at Greenbelt 2022. This is just the start. There is much more to come.

We can’t wait to Wake Up together at Boughton this August.

The Future We Choose

A collaboration between Jackson M Phoenix, Barney White and you, The Future We Choose will craft a radical new collective vision for our shared future.

Forgetting what you think is possible or likely, what could a radically better future for humanity and our planet look like?

Your response to this call will become part of the final artwork, premiering at Greenbelt Festival 2022: a collective (re)visioning installation.

Volunteer at Greenbelt Festival

Applications to be a Greenbelt volunteer are now open. Being a volunteer is a great opportunity to try out new skills, gain experience, face fresh challenges, make friends, enjoy being part of a team and, most of all, have fun making a fabulous festival happen.

See you in the fields

Join us in the beautiful grounds of Boughton House (near Kettering) from 26–29 August 2022 for a long weekend of artistry, activism and belief. After two years of cancelled festivals, we can’t wait to be back in the fields with our makeshift human engine of creativity, change and community. We’d love you to be there with us.

A festival for everyone

We think there’s a spark that kindles the time we spend together at Greenbelt, and we call it God. (You might call it the gin talking; that’s fine too.)

Some of us have been coming here our whole lives. Some of us are back after a break, and some are brand new to the party. Whether it’s your first time, or your 15th, you can expect a warm welcome – regardless of ethnicity, gender, religion, sexuality, disability or background.

Discover who we are

Greenerbelt

Challenging the status quo isn’t easy. We work to make each Greenbelt more environmentally friendly than the last. Back in 2019, we got rid of single-use plastic bottles, disposable cups and plastic wristbands at the festival. But we’re on a journey and there’s still a long way to go. Come with us as we try to tread as lightly as possible on this good earth as we make the festival each year.
