Rooted in the living word

 

From Chaucer, Malory and Shakespeare, to Jane Austen and the First World War over half the great literary works produced are rooted in the Christian tradition. Suzanne examines how these living words hspae and change us. Establishing our own cultural identity and seeing God’s glory in the flawed Britain we know.

Suzanne Bray is Professor of English Studies at Lille Catholic University, France. She specialises in literature and theology. She publishes in both French and English, mainly about British Christian authors Her latest book is a critical edition of Dorothy L Sayers’ religious radio broadcasts during World War II.
