“I’m coming home”: 40 years on and still no place to rest

 

Homelessness remains a major social issue 40 years after Jonny Mathis sung ‘I’m coming home’. Reflections on a series of interviews with men and women who have experienced homelessness: their experiences of suffering, hope and the human condition have much to teach the church.

David Nixon is an Anglican parish priest with an academic and practical interest in issues of homelessness. He’s also studied and written on sexualities in church and education. He is a research fellow at the University of Exeter.
