Wormboys

Wormboys

wormboys are four people based across Leeds and Glasgow. Together they play an eclectic mix of noise-pop songs, yoking dreamy melodies to driving rhythms and fuzzed-out soundscapes.

After building a dedicated following in West Yorkshire, wormboys have toured the UK, sharing stages with the likes of The Bug Club, Martha, SASAMI, and Ratboys (no relation). Other highlights have included a headline slot at Newcastle’s Narc Fest, a set at Leeds’ first grassroots-led Trans Pride, a sweaty basement in Glasgow’s legendary 13th Note, and a masterclass for students at Hereford College of Arts.

Since 2019 wormboys have published multiple EPs and singles with small local DIY labels. Their latest track, “mostly still”, was released by Come Play With Me Records in collaboration with EMI North.

In 2025, wormboys are about to record their first album, testing out new material that explores the diverse shapes and sounds of country-rock, doom and post-punk.
