Oasis Church Grimsby is part of the growing network of Oasis churches across the UK. They are inclusive, innovative and involved. Its Forest Church gatherings happen at key times through the year.
At Greenbelt 2014 they explore the spiritual wisdom of Nicholas Black Elk, a medicine man of the Oglala Lakota (Sioux) people. Having grown up in the messiah tradition of his people, he went on to become a Catholic catechist.
He never abandoned the ways and practices of his people, and in Christianity found a new expression of his devotion to the Wakan Tanka (Great Mysterious One).
