Ordained 10 years ago, Kathryn has relished being a parish priest in 2 very different contexts – and had no thought of seeking a different kind of job til one day a helpfully labelled “UNSETTLING EMAIL” arrived!
It did indeed unsettle her thoroughly and so she finds herself installed as Canon Pastor of a Cathedral, learning how to be a priest building community without a parish, in the wake of a departure that left her feeling like a heartless parent who had deserted her kids.
