Mary has been helping adults and children get outside more for the last twenty years. Recently this has included working with a number of churches. In 2012 she ran a workshop at Greenbelt on taking children’s activities outside and this work has expanded to encompass the whole church community, and beyond. At her own church she has been encouraging everyone to take more activities outdoors whilst she advises other churches on both going outdoors and developing outside spaces for the benefit of the church and wider community. Mary is a director of Play Learning Life, a community interest company that helps schools, setting and families take learning and play outdoors as well as co-founder of the International School Grounds Alliance and Projects Manager at Learning through Landscapes.

Together they are writers of a soon to be published book ‘Creative ideas for Wild Church’ – to be published later in 2016.
