Grace Notes

Grace Notes

Grace Notes works with London based musicians, dancers, and artists to explore faith, spirituality, and worship. The collective aims to bring communities together through expression and creativity in different social settings.

From March to July 2021, Grace Notes used the Chapel at The Royal Foundation of St Katherine’s, Limehouse and opened this up to a congregation fortnightly as part of their Sunday service. Here they explored the use of poetry, spoken word, contemporary dance, improvised music and scripture to host hour long services. They are proud to say that this was open to all – having artists and members of the congregation from different religious, racial and cultural backgrounds.

Since, they have been developing a series of works and projects, such as limited edition zines and collaborated with new spaces such as St. Stephen’s Walbrook, London. This celebration and fresh expression of worship reimagines how people of faith and all backgrounds can gather further beyond their immediate community in a joyful way, encouraging reflection, community cohesion, activism, love and Grace.
