Eric is a Passivhaus Consultant specializing in retrofit and uses robust Passivhaus modelling to guide people who want to integrate high-performance energy efficiency measures into whole house refurbishment.
He also does thermal bridge modelling, ventilation design, consideration of moisture risk issues, and costing up of materials so that people can get to the point of starting the work. He is also a trainer for the Carbonlite Passivhaus Tradesperson course, which is a training for builders and site managers working on low energy construction projects. Recently he has also got his foot in the door as part of the retrofit working group for Greater Manchester’s ambitious carbon reduction plan, for which retrofit will be key.
