Briony Martin

Briony is a psychotherapist and counselling educator based in the south of England. In 2020 she began personal work on internalised racism and white privilege which has led to a passionate interest in anti-oppressive practice.

This work has opened her eyes to so many new and diverse perspectives on mental health and therapy, and you can find out about many of these here in this space. Her exploration has also led me to confronting the psychological challenges of the Climate Crisis and asking herself how therapists can better support their clients and their communities to manage this new reality.

Briony is interested in engaging with the natural world in therapy, in making therapy as inclusive and collaborative as possible, and in supporting herself and others to develop resilience in the face of uncertainty and change.
