Barnabas Palfrey

Barnabas spends half his time exploring challenging territories as lecturer-tutor for the MA in Christian Spirituality at Sarum College in Salisbury.

The other half he gives university applications and careers support to Sixth Formers in south London. His freshly completed doctorate charts the work of septuagenarian American Roman Catholic theologian, David Tracy.

For several years Barnabas has been obsessing over Tracy’s recent category of ‘fragment’ for thinking about culture, Christ and God. A very occasional Baptist preacher but full-time Anglican, Barnabas hopes one day to paint and draw once more, the parallel religion and prayer of his youth.
