Jennifer Hughes is a multimedia artist who appreciates time to create independently and time to work in an atmosphere of shared creativity.
Jennifer is currently working on two themes.
The first is a response to the tradition of fabric banners, seen in Churches and public life. Can she use textiles in a way which seek not to state certainties but suggest possibilities?
The second theme is a collaboration considering the lives and aspirations of historical and contemporary women in a specific geographical location.
Jennifer’s motivation is that the patchworking together fabric, image, pattern and colour can create unexpected and surprising expressions of wonder and hope.
