There’s a whole host of volunteering opportunities available at Greenbelt. We have around eighty different teams being kept busy over the festival weekend – along with other groups who meet together to plan and prepare during the year. There are also administrative roles for volunteers to take on in our London office, or you could support one of our teams by taking on admin work at home.
Some volunteer roles require specialist skills and experience but most just need lots of enthusiasm, reliability and a willingness to be part of a team. Training and/or briefing is provided for each role.
Most volunteers are over eighteen years old, though we do have roles for 16 and 17 year olds - mainly in the stewards and children’s teams. There is no upper age limit and no time like the present to try something new.
Volunteers are required for an average of seven hours for each day of the festival, so there’s plenty of time left for you to enjoy the programme too.
Greenbelt provides volunteers with entry to the festival, discounted tickets for family and friends, meals during the time on duty, showers, access to the volunteer lounge - with hot and cold drinks, a volunteers t shirt, discount in the shop and a support team to answer all your queries during the weekend.
