The Real Junk Food Project

The Real Junk Food Project

The Real Junk Food Project is a global, organic network of Pay As You Feel concepts all diverting surplus edible food destined for waste and making it accessible for human consumption.

We support cafes, operate Sharehouses – where intercepted food is collected and distributed from – and work with schools under our #Kindness brand.

Duncan Milwain accidentally became a food activist through his day job as a charity lawyer when he helped in establishing The Real Junk Food Project in 2013. He has been chair of the trustees of the national charity overseeing the project since 2014 and ran an intercepted food cafe – Saltaire Canteen from 2014 to 2017.
