St Albans Forest Church

St Albans Forest Church

St Alban’s Forest Church is in its second year. They meet in a green space in the centre of a busy city, on the four festivals of the ancient Celts – 1 August, 1 November, 1 February and 1 May – or as near to them as possible.

All their celebrations mark the turning of the year, and involve liturgy, stories, movement, beautiful harp music and seasonal food and drink.

They like to be creative and have so far included maypole dancing, bonfires, processions and folk hymns as part of their ‘sacred circle’.
