Serin

Serin is a Leeds-based queer/trans songwriting/folk duo, made up of Wren Boon and Lucy Bacon. Their sound is both traditional and modern, with echoes of contemporary (and politically engaged) folkies like Lady Maisery and The Unthanks. Serin performs original and traditional songs from the UK and US, speaking to themes such as gender, queerness, birds and home/belonging. They combine vocal harmonies, powerful violin melodies and gentle guitar to make a sound which has been described by one enthusiastic local fan as ‘summat a bit different’. The pair released their debut EP Canary in Autumn 2025.
