School of Noise

Celebrating its 10th year, the School of Noise returns to Greenbelt Festival with their collection of musical instruments and science of sound equipment for all ages to explore. Try your hand at the theremin, use vibration to create beautiful Chladni patterns in sand, learn how the human ear works and more.

The School of Noise runs workshops and talks for all ages exploring the science of sound and experimental music making. Over the past 10 years they have visited schools, hospitals, museums and festivals around the world encouraging people to consider the impact sound has on our lives, and have fun being creative with it.
