Rebecca de Saintonge

Rebecca de Saintonge began work as a newspaper reporter and went on to become an investigative journalist with the BBC and Granada Television specialising in programmes on social justice, the penal system and religious affairs. She later helped to run The Literary Consultancy in London.

Rebecca has worked as a biographer, ghost writer, editor and mentor to new writers, and has contributed to a number of publications including The Times, The Telegraph, The Weekend Guardian, The Independent and Third Way. Her biography of the Afrikaner anti-apartheid campaigner Nico Smith, OUTSIDE THE GATE was re-ssued in March this year in response to requests from Christians in South Africa. It is available as an ebook and on kindle.

In 2005 she co-founded a small publishing company, LifeLines Press, specialising in quality paperbacks and hand bound books of memoir, family history and poetry mainly for private distribution.

Her memoir, ONE YELLOW DOOR – a memoir of love, and loss, faith and infidelity (Darton Longman and Todd) became an Amazon No1 best seller within weeks of publication in October 2015. She is setting up an interactive website in response to the many people who wrote expressing similar experiences, and a desire to discuss honestly matters of caring and spirituality. The website will be live from April 2016.
