OUT@Greenbelt

Greenbelt is proud to be an LGBTQ+ affirming space, and OUT is our volunteer team who help the queer community and our allies get the most out of the festival.

You’ll find us on our stand on the festival site, where the team are here to signpost you to the best programme events, and to chat with you about all things rainbow at the festival and beyond.

Greenbelt is a place of encounter – with one another, with our lives and stories, and with God. Come along, say hello, get involved, worship with us and go away feeling connected, affirmed, and just a little bit more who you’re called to be.

This year the OUT@ team will be doing lots of their own events around site so look out for the OUT@ Eucharist the ‘Glitter Ball’ and the various meeting spaces they’re hosting around site.

THURSDAY

OUT for the first time/ OUT Welcome event
The Parched Pilgrim, Campsite Hub
If you identify as LGBTQIA+ and are new to Greenbelt, or if you are recently out and don’t yet know many people in our community, then don’t miss this welcome session especially for you. Meet other festivalgoers, hear about Greenbelt’s impressive queer programming, and get tips on how to make the most of the festival once the main events kick off over the weekend.

Trans & Non-binary Meetup
Hope & Anchor, 1530
Come and take the weight off and get together with other trans and non-binary festivalgoers in a relaxed setting. Members of the OUT@Greenbelt team will be your hosts.

LGBTQIA+ Singles Quiz
Jesus Arms, 1730
Are you single and ready to meet someone new? Come along for an easy, relaxed, low-pressure chance to connect with other single LGBTQ+ Christians.
In association with Christian Connection and in partnership with OUT@Greenbelt.

OUT to Tea
Tiny Tea Tent, 1400
A chance for LGBTQ+ festivalgoers and friends to meet and catch up over a cuppa by the Tiny Tea Tent, and away from the crowds. Feel free to bring a chair and look for us by the OUT flags.

OUT Eucharist
Shelter, 1830
The OUT Eucharist is a very special service of Holy Communion for LGBTQIA+ people, and our friends and allies, where you don’t need to hide from yourself, each other or God. Everyone is wonderfully welcome. Greenbelt is proud to be an LGBTQ+ affirming space, and OUT@Greenbelt is our volunteer team who help the queer community and allies get the most out of the festival.

Come and join the OUT @Greenbelt team by the Blue Nun for a chance to meet up with other LGBTQIA+ Greenbelters. Feel free to drop-in, pop-by or stay for the whole time. Find us near the OUT flags!

The Glitter Ball
Hot House, 2245
LGBTQ+ pop anthems, cult queer classics, iconic dance grooves and future sounds coalesce in another incarnation of DJ Gwyn4’s timeless, upbeat, synth-driven, high-energy juke-box. Glitter-up, make-up and follow Charli XCX, Beyoncé, Kylie, Diana Ross, Chappell Roan, the Communards, Taylor Swift and RAYE to the disco on the Starship at the end of the rainbow. Everyone’s invited!
With sustainable, bio-degradable, non-plastic glitter face-painting and our very own resident DJ Gwyn4.

Rainbow Families picnic
The Margins, 1300
For families connected to the LGBTQIA+ community. Are you an LGBTQIA+ parent with kids from tots to toddlers to teens and above, or are you a parent of LGBTQIA+ children? Then bring your tribe along with some refreshments and something to sit on and join us for a relaxed Pride-filled afternoon picnic!

OUT at The Table
The Table, 1945
Food and story with young LGBTQIA+ activists, dreamers, movers and shakers who are changing their world for good, or share your own story around the table. With Open Table Network, Inclusive Church and OUT at Greenbelt.
