An indie-folk songwriter with a “gift for articulating emotions”, Naomi Kelly is an artist with their roots firmly in Greenbelt soil. Attending the festival their whole life, Naomi first performed in 2023, and is delighted to be playing at the festival again this year.
Naomi is a singer-songwriter from the North of England, largely based in their hometowns of Leeds and Newcastle, whose music blends indie, folk, and pop influences to create a distinctly homegrown sound. Their style has been described by NARC magazine as one that “wouldn’t go amiss in a playlist with names like Lucy Spraggan and Grace Petrie”, both comparisons Naomi takes as huge compliments!
Their second EP “Ghost Light”, released in April this year (produced by Rich Huxley of Hope and Social) has been described as an “impressive letter to queer love” by Music is to Blame magazine, and is a release hallmarked by heartbreak, yearning, and Naomi’s distinctive lyrical style.
Naomi uses she/they pronouns.
