As a Director of Traidcraft, Larry is responsible for new product innovation and marketing. His passion for trade justice was sparked by working in Uganda as a charity volunteer with smallholder farmers in the early 90’s.
He then spent 15 years working in international business with Rio Tinto and with Pepsico Foods in a variety of management roles. During this time he strived to make trade more fair and ethical from within corporate structures.
In 2006 he joined Traidcraft as Marketing Director and during recent years has been instrumental in bringing a wide range of pioneering new Fair Trade products to the UK market including rubber gloves and barbecue charcoal.
His recent focus has been to introduce Fair Trade Palm Oil and launching the world’s first Fair Trade cleaning range – “Clean & Fair”. He has been a Greenbelt regular since the 1980’s.
