Kim Leadbeater

Kim Leadbeater is the sister of the murdered Yorkshire MP Jo Cox.

Since her sister’s death, Kim has been working to create a positive legacy for Jo, with a specific focus on social cohesion and creating positive relationships within our communities. Under the ‘More In Common’ theme, taken from Jo’s maiden speech in parliament, Kim is chair of the Batley & Spen ‘More in Common’ team of volunteers – a non-political group from a diverse range of backgrounds, who are organising a series of community-based events and strategies focusing on the things we all share which can bring people together.

Kim is a real people-person with a background in sales and then 15 years working in the health and fitness industry.

Through her previous and ongoing work as a lecturer in higher education and personal trainer, she has always taken a holistic approach to people’s well-being, with a passionate, empathetic and positive attitude to life.
