Julie Siddiqi

Julie Siddiqi is a mentor, consultant and gender equality campaigner with a focus on interfaith relations, applying that to social action work, together and has a background in community grass roots work spanning 30 years.

Julie is Co-chair of the UK Muslim Network and a Steering Group member for the Together coalition. She is Co-founder of The Big Iftar, which, during Ramadan, has seen hundreds of grassroots community events take place around the UK. Julie also Co-founded Nisa-Nashim the Jewish and Muslim Women’s Network, is a former member of the Goverment’s Advisory Group on anti-Muslim hate and is a Trustee for Gingko.

Julie works closely with Oasis UK including in her local area of Slough where she is a Hub leader and a health and wellbeing coach with her local PCN, SPINE.

Julie is Co-founder of the We Are United campaign which will run its first national campaign this year: Together At Christmas.

She has been awarded an MBE and an honorary doctorate for her extensive work in promoting interfaith understanding and building bridges across communities
