Cumberland Lodge

Established in the aftermath of WWII, the education programme at Cumberland Lodge works with young people from diverse backgrounds to understand the causes and impacts of social division and conflict. We do this in order to strengthen social cohesion and create more just, inclusive and peaceful futures.

Focusing on dialogue, our interactive workshops are designed to develop participants’ capacity for conversations across political, faith-based, inter-cultural and inter-generational differences. We may not always agree, but we have the ability to disagree better, to depolarise politics, and to re-imagine our relationships with those who may see the world differently.
