Abdalhamid Evans

In addition to his work as a consultant in the Halal Economy, Abdalhamid has a long history as a craftsman, poet and musician.

A skilled leatherworker for over 40 years, he combines Islamic designs with gaucho braiding techniques and western tooling methods, creating a unique hybrid style.

As a British Muslim convert with roots in the cultural renaissance of the 60’s and 70’s, he is passionate about the critical importance of creative expression among the Muslims, especially among the communities in the western world.

He has recently published a collection of poetry and rhyming verse entitled Songs in Search of a Musician, and has two further collections of essays and poetry in progress.

As a musician and songwriter, he has just completed a demo CD Wings and Prayers.
