Bob Gilbert

Bob Gilbert is the author of ‘The Green London Way’, ‘Ghost Trees’ and ‘The Missing Musk’.

He has written extensively for newspapers and magazines and his column on urban wildlife ran continuously in a north London paper for over 25 years. His work on TV and radio has included ‘The Susurration of Trees’, ‘The Passion in Plants’, and editions of The Natural World and The Food Programme, all for BBC Radio 4.

Bob has been a long-standing campaigner for inner city biodiversity and for the protection and improvement of urban open spaces and served as chair, and now the patron, of ‘The Garden Classroom’, a charity that promotes outdoor and environmental education in London.

Bob is an Associate Member of the Iona Community.
