What will I be doing?
The Canopy Stage team is a small but beautifully form group of volunteers. They:
Assist with smooth running of the performances
Where necessary, meet artists as they arrive and introduce them to the compere and sound technician
Keep in contact with Artist Liaison and remain alert to the particular needs of individual artists
Ensure that each artist has all that they require
Assist with set-up and de-rig of artists/groups as appropriate
Ensure that each artist understands the timing for their set (including time for de-rigging)
Notify the artist (from front of stage or over talkback) when they have one song / 5 minutes left
Ensure PRS forms are completed
Ensure curfew is strictly observed
Assist with Venue Team when needed
This is just a small part of the role, but this should give you a taster of what to expect.
What skills do I need?
Hardworking, able to take initiative, good team player, work well under pressure, enjoys good music, generally groovy.
This role involves standing, walking and amplified music.
What hours will I be volunteering?
You will need to arrive on site on Thursday so that you can complete the compulsory training.
Shifts will last until Monday night, so you will be able to leave Tuesday morning.
