We want to generate an online communal collage of visuals in the run-up to this year's Festival, using this year's theme as our inspiration. All bundled together under the title 'Here comes the sun', this will be our way of getting in the mood for Greenbelt.
We'll post up a new assignment/project on this page every few weeks in the lead-up to the Festival and then you post up your responses (photos, drawings, mp3 files, poetry, prose etc).
The projects will be fun, simple and fairly open-ended. Your results can be posted to Flickr and YouTube - with the appropriate tags (see the side-bar text below) and that way we'll pick them up and build the links here over the weeks as the collage builds.
The current challenges are as follows:
Make a songlist of no more than ten sun-related tracks for your iPod
Hand-write your list, with your favourite line from each song and scan/photograph it, then post the image to Flickr with the tag here – click here for the images so far and the tagging to use.
Out and About

Light of my life
Who brings the light into your life? take a head and shoulders portrait of them, with the sun behind them creating a halo... then post the image to Flickr with the tag here – click here for the images so far and the tagging to use.
Sun Poem
Get together with some folks and write a sentences or phrases about the sun. Print these and cut each one out into a separate line of text. Click for more instructions.
Tourists
We love this little movie. Using it as your inspiration, take a sketchbook or some paper out with you and have some fun drawing the people that you see out and about and enjoying the sunshine.
