What can we do about poverty?

There are over 2000 passages of Scripture that deal with poverty, so there is no way that Christians can ignore the responsibility to work to end it. Those who have studied the problem contend we can cut world poverty in half by the year 2015. This involves changes in trade relationships between rich and poor countries, canceling Third World debt as well as a host of initiatives on the micro level? such as job creation and volunteer work by those from developed countries. We will consider what each can do.
