Site Vibing Throughout The Year

Site Vibing operate throughout the year to make things that look good around the site - why not join them?

Site Vibing Making Days

The Site Vibing team are having some Making Days in Leeds and London. It's an opportunity for creative people over 16 to get together to make things to make the Greenbelt site look even more glorious!

Under the expert eye of Site Vibing co-ordinator Saga Arpino, attendees will be making flags and bunting, stencilling and painting placards, making decorations for trees and using their creativity for the benefit of everyone who comes to site.

The days are happening:-

LEEDS - Saturday 27th & Sunday 28th March
Left Bank Leeds
Cardigan Rd, Leeds, LS6 1LJ
Time 10am to 5pm

LONDON - Saturday 22nd & Sunday 23rd May (please note changed date)
Greenbelt HQ
All Hallows On The Wall, 83 London Wall, London, EC2M 5ND
Time 10am to 5pm

The key skills required are:-

Fabric-based Skills
Cutting fabric and sewing to make bunting, flags and wind catchers

Drawing Skills
Nice hand writing or the ability to colour within the lines, to make elements for larger scale projects - most likely by making speech bubbles with beautiful handwritten text to hang from trees or in clouds above peoples heads

Crafty Construction Skills
Using scissors, craft knives, glue, card, plastic and such like to make elements such as flying creatures, clusters of stars, or such like to hang in clusters

To RSVP, or for more information about the weekends, email volunteers@greenbelt.org.uk. We look forward to seeing you there!

Hunting For Bunting

The Site Vibing team will be adding to the miles of bunting which adorned the festival this year.

It's a nice job to get started on during the winter, so download the pattern, and get creative!

Or... why not start up a bunting group? It could be a family, a church group, a youth group, older group or the Girl Guides for example — it's a really good way to get all ages working together.

All you need is a space to get crafty, a sewing machine or two, some cutters-out and some fabric. This is a great way to recycle the items of clothing you no longer wear and, like a giant patchwork quilt, you can add your page to the Greenbelt story.

Finished bunting can be sent to the Greenbelt Office, All Hallows On The Wall, 83 London Wall, London EC2M 5ND, or brought along to the Site Vibing Making Days.

If you have any questions about making Bunting, email volunteers@greenbelt.org.uk. We look forward to seeing your handiwork above our heads!
