- Access to the campsite is strictly from 10am
- Festival Village is open at 3pm
- Line-up begins at 5.30pm
Please be aware: For your safety you will not be permitted into the Festival before these times.
Your festival wristband gives you access to the festival site. Wristbands lost or removed from the wrist or tampered with will be rendered invalid and you will be required to purchase a replacement.
If you have purchased multiple wristbands please be sure to wear the correct one:
Adult - Light blue
Youth (11-17s) – Lilac
Child (4 - 10s) – Cranberry
Infant (0 - 3s) - No band
The biggest contributing factor to our carbon footprint is how festivalgoers travel to and from Cheltenham. Please think carefully about how you get to the Festival Site. Public transport is the greenest option and we’re trying to make it the easiest option too – we’re providing coaches from around the country, providing a shuttle service from the train station, and highlighting cheap train tickets on our website and in our e-newsletter, Dispatches. For more information visit greenbelt.org.uk/travel
Vehicles are temporarily allowed on to the campsite areas for unloading only. Once unloaded all vehicles must be promptly moved to the designated car parks for the rest of the weekend. Leaving your car parked in an undesignated area is a safety risk and for this reason, vehicles will be towed away if left unattended.
(Greenbelt Festivals does not accept any responsibility or liability for any loss or damage caused to a vehicle towed or moved as a result of failure to adhere to this warning. Any relocation of motor vehicles is entirely at the owners’ risk.)
Help prevent traffic queues and get on to the Festival site quicker – park your vehicle, find your way to the taxi-rank (adjacent to the box office), hop on and for £1 per person (plus £1 for luggage) we will take you onto the main campsite.
Camping space is available on a first come, first served basis, with the exception of the disabled camping area that should be pre-booked (see below). ensure that everyone has fair access to the camping areas, reserving space is not permitted. Access to the campsite is limited to those with weekend tickets or two consecutive day tickets. If you are planning to camp, please bring a torch. Please ensure you erect your tent in a designated festivalgoer camping area. For a map of these areas visit www.greenbelt.org.uk/camping.
Remember the campsite - and the entire Racecourse - is a public space and the security of your tent cannot be guaranteed. Please consider leaving your valuables at home and report any suspicious activities immediately to Stewards.
To keep everyone safe we must leave sufficient access space for the emergency services in the campsite. Please do not camp inside areas marked with red & white tape.
Roadways are denoted by yellow & black marker tape. A minimum distance of 3m must separate all tents/caravans/motor homes with the exception of families and youth groups, where parents’ and children’s tents can be 1.5m apart.
We do permit:
Gazebos, barbeques and household candles - please place in suitable containers with an extinguisher or water close by.
We do not permit:
Personal generators or open fires.
Fire Safety within the campsite
Please don’t place disposable barbeques on the grass or on formica-type tabletops. Do not change any gas cylinders while there is another stove or naked light in use. Please ensure a reasonable distance (at least 30cm) between stove and windbreak and never leave any apparatus unattended.
When camping, please check to see where your nearest fire point is. These should only be used as a means of warning others that there is a problem in the immediate vicinity. Never activate an alarm unless it is necessary to do so.
In the event of fire:
• Raise the alarm
• Make contact with a steward (wearing yellow hi-visibility jackets)
If you are involved in a tent fire, get yourself and all other members of your party out as quickly as possible. Only tackle the fire if you feel safe doing so. You must summon assistance from the onsite emergency services, no matter how small the incident is, or even if it has already been dealt with.
If you require any further fire safety advice at the Festival, or if you are unsure about any of the above, don’t hesitate to ask one of the Fire Team patrolling the campsites or at their G-Source stand.
Water is supplied in the campsite area for washing and cooking. Toilet blocks are located throughout the Festival site. Showers are available adjacent to Mainstage, and can be booked on-site from 5pm on Friday, or online at greenbelt.org.uk/showers. Each 15 minutes slot costs £3.50. Baby bathing is available every night in the Children’s Festival area from 7-9pm including Friday (Monday 7-8pm).
Camper vans and caravans must be positioned adjacent to a roadway or fire-break, with the hitching point facing the road access. Power should be drawn from a separate battery and not your car. There are no electrical hook-ups onsite.

The Children's Festival is an area of the Festival site which caters for 0-11s, providing three sessions of activities over the weekend. In addition to this there is an All Age Afternoon on Sunday. Parents or guardians wishing to use the Children’s Festival will need to register their children onsite on Friday 27th August between 6.30pm and 8.00pm, but you can speed things up by beginning the registration process online at greenbelt.org.uk/children/registration.
Parents and young children who wake up early can also attend the Early Birds sessions from 6.00am to 8.00am on Saturday, Sunday and Monday in the Children’s Festival area.

Accessibility
Supported by Livability
Greenbelt aims to make the Festival site as accessible as possible with wheelchair access, viewing platforms, scooter-chair recharging facilities, BSL signing, hearing loops and rest facilities provided where physically possible. It’s much easier for us to arrange support for your needs ahead of the Festival rather than onsite so please email access@greenbelt.org.uk with queries and requests before Friday 30th July and we will try to assist you. We also offer suitable camping for those with disabilities whether with families or groups. If you would like to camp in these areas please ensure you pre-register by emailing disabledcamping@greenbelt.org.uk. For more information visit greenbelt.org.uk/access
A mobility scooter recharging facility is available and The Ark is a rest and recuperation room for disabled people and their carers, hosted by L’Arche

Please be aware that as the Jesus Arms, Blue Nun & Winged Ox venues are licensed to sell alcohol, under 18s will only be admitted if accompanied by a supervising adult. Greenbelt operates a challenge 21 policy.
Noise limits are set by the local council and monitored both on and off site by our Noise team. We aim to keep a good relationship with our Cheltenham neighbours, so please bear this in mind.
Alcohol may be consumed in the campsite, but you will not be able to bring your own alcohol into the Festival Village. Alcohol is for sale to those over 18 years old in the Wine Bar and the Beer Tent. Please do not drink alcohol in any other public area. Drinking in the thoroughfares or other venues is forbidden. We want to keep Greenbelt a peaceful festival for all ages, so please tell an official if you’re offered any illegal drugs – we don’t want any on site and will act accordingly. Anti-social behaviour will not be tolerated and we reserve the right to eject from site anyone who is a nuisance through intoxication of any kind.
If you lose something precious during the festival, contact the Info Booth. You can also hand in any discovered lost property to the Info Booth, or to a Venue Manager.
If you are hoping to get lost property after the festival, contact the Greenbelt Office before the end of September. Email info@greenbelt.org.uk. We will request a £5 donation for posting.

We invest lots of time and money in ‘vibing’ the site and making it look great each year. So please don’t mistreat the banners, flags, and sculptures etc – as we will lovingly re-use them. We know people like to take reminders home, but please buy something from the G-Store!
Posters and stickers are strictly prohibited.
If you need someone to talk with about difficult experiences or current struggles, you can talk with one of our qualified counsellors in private. Sessions last up to an hour and can be booked to suit you. This is a free service offered for the duration of the festival only.

Most venues won’t be cleared between performances. However, if you arrive early for something, you may be asked to queue to avoid disrupting the preceding performance.
Although we try our hardest to allow as many people to see each performance or talk as possible, all venues have maximum capacities and therefore admittance cannot be guaranteed.
Please support our stewards by co-operating with their guidance on this.
