Fr Richard Rohr is a Franciscan priest of the New Mexico Province. He lives in a hermitage behind his Franciscan community - the Center for Action and Contemplation - in Albuquerque, New Mexico, where he presently serves as Founding Director.

He divides his time between local work and International preaching and is a regular contributing editor/writer for Sojourners and Tikkun magazines.

Richard has taught on such themes as community building, peace and justice issues, adult Christianity, politics and spirituality, and embracing the role of prophet in the modern world, and has partnered with teachers Thomas Keating, Ron Rolheiser, Rev. Cynthia Bourgeault, Joan Chittister, and Jim Wallis, among others.

His writing has been frequently published, and he has appeared on NPR (National Public Radio) and in the 2006 documentary "One".
