Greenbelt / Festival Info / Children

At the heart of this year's festival, you'll find the Village. It's like Greenbelt, only smaller.

The Village represents a new approach to how we do children's work at the festival. It's a shared experience, all about doing stuff - making things, watching plays, singing songs, playing games - together.

From bookworms to party animals, from the crafty to the sporty, there's plenty to entertain every child of every age. Follow the links below to find out what you can expect to find in the Village and what support is available, or hop over to our children's and all-age lineup pages to discover exactly who will be performing.

The Village Playhouse

A brand new venue for 2011, showcasing performances for children and families .

The Village Screen

A dedicated indoor film venue for kids – showing films, short films, TV favourites and cartoons from 8.30am until 7pm each day.

Village Green

For a generous dose of outdoor exuberance, crazy games, dance, circus skills and drumming workshops

Make & Take

A trinity of tents, packed with arty goodness.

Messy space

Like a huge version of your living room over the summer holidays, it's the place for the whole family.
