Don’t leave your young person at home, bring them to Greenbelt. There is loads to do.

Bring your young people along to Greenbelt. The festival has a great all age environment and there is so much on. Greenbelt is a place of bold and refreshing art, thought-provoking talks, brilliant comedy, music that crosses cultures and ages, as well as all of the great sessions designed specifically for their age group. Encourage your young people to make decisions for themselves, to have open minds to question, disagree or discover!

Get them to have a look through the Youth and Festival Lineup before the festival to see what catches their eye, and see what interests them.

In the dedicated Youth venue, there will be Youth Volunteers available who can help young people make the most of their festival. This venue will feature a varied selection of workshops, performances, debates and exclusives.

2013 will also see the introduction of a new chill out cafe for young people (up to student age). This will be a space for them to chat, recharge their batteries, reflect, play games and plan the rest of their festival.

There is also a ‘detached’ team of youth workers onsite all weekend, roaming the site and offering support to young festivalgoers between 22.00 and 02.00.
Be sure to point your young people towards the Youth Festival Guides, available from the Youth venue and elsewhere around the site.

Contact our youth participation coordinator Becky Smith before the festival if you have any queries – becky@greenbelt.org.uk
