Empathy and the Revolution of Human Relationships
What are the benefits of looking at the world from the perspective of others? How can we develop deeper empathy with family, friends and strangers? In this innovative talk and workshop, art of living expert Roman Krznaric explains why developing empathy - that is, making the imaginative leap of being able to look through the eyes of other people - is the ultimate art form for the 21st century and a new age of Outrospection. Mahatma Gandhi, Barack Obama and other great empathetic adventurers will be amongst your guides
Beyond the Cult of Self Help
Popular philosopher Mark Vernon and art of living expert Roman Krznaric join forces to take you on an unexpected and inspiring journey of self-discovery. In this participatory workshop you will find out why traditional self-help has become too narrow and individualistic, a form of cost-benefit analysis in which we treat those around us as service providers in the commerce of a self-centred life. Instead, Vernon and Krznaric argue that if we wish to live wisely and well we need to find new ways of expanding our concern and curiosity about the lives of others and to become more adventurous in our approaches to love, friendship and work.
