Bookshops are full of argument and counter-argument between atheists and Christians, but what could theology actually learn from a 'new physics' that has given us parallel universes, multiple dimensions and all manner of quantum strangeness?
Kester Brewin was a founder member of Vaux, a collective of artists and city-lovers exploring the divine in the urban.
In 2004 he wrote the highly acclaimed The Complex Christ, which he updates regularly via his blog. He also teaches in a London secondary school and writes on education for various publications.
The Complex Christ has been described as 'packed with stimulating ideas' by the Church of England Newspaper, 'A dramatically prophetic book, full of insight, imagination and creative theology' by Christianity Magazine and 'Stimulating, disturbing, poetic and hopeful' by the Spirited Exchanges Network.
Kester has also published poetry, is finishing a novel entitled Nothing, and a new book following up the ideas raised in The Complex Christ is due to be published in Spring 2010.
