Iain Sinclair

Anecdotes, arguments and inspirations from expeditions around London's orbital motorway and freedom-pass bus jumping, Liverpool to Hull

Iain Sinclair is the author of London Orbital and Hackney, That Rose Red Empire, and one of Britain's best-known writers within the genre of psychogeography.

Sinclair began his writing career by releasing six collections of poetry before publishing his first novel, White Chappell, Scarlet Tracings in 1987.  The novel, along with much of his writing since, has done a great deal to popularise the ideas of psychogeography in the UK, and particularly in the areas of London around Hackney, where Sinclair has lived for the past forty years.
