What is The Mix?

The Mix is a dedicated area for 11-14 year olds, that aims to deliver a diverse programme mirroring the rest of the Festival.

A series of interactive sessions on the big issues from Greenbelt Partner Christian Aid.

Gavin Robinson

Day to day Gav visits schools talking to young people, taking assemblies, lessons and scripture Unions. He has been working full time for youth for Christ in Northern Ireland for three years and co-ordinates their Schools department, which has contact with over 23,000 young people in over 80 schools per year.

Tropical Inc

Monday

Onsite all weekend, Tropical Inc will be giving shows and talks that offer a unique insight into the world of exotic animals. It's a rare opportunity to get close up and personal with meerkats, Pythons, Tarantulas, lizards, parrots - even a skunk.

Based in Manchester and serving up great fab slabs of rock and breakbeat, thebandwithnoname was launched in 2002 by youth evangelism organisation Innervation.

Jason Gardner

Jason Gardner was born in the jewel of the North that is Lancaster. He’s currently employed under the auspicious title of ‘Youth Project Researcher’ at the London Institute for Contemporary Culture.

Sam Lloyd

Sam Lloyd has the strength of 19 grizzly bears and is unnervingly accurate with a basket ball.

Thomas Trilby

Thomas Trilby, aka Jem Maynard Watts, is an experienced stiltwalker and entertainer. He has looked down on most things - especially festivals and sporting events – including The Cheltenham Gold Cup and the Grand Prix in Bahrain.

Kite-making workshops : People Around Here

We will be running three workshops over the weekend – taking a simple diamond kite kit and designing and placing images on the kite that reflect the kite flyers hopes and dreams.

Acting the Bible : Peterson Toscano

Through this interactive workshop, theatrical performance artist and Christ-centered Quaker, Peterson Toscano will lead a Bibliodrama, a form of Bible study through theatre.
