Sofas and standard lamps – that’s what Greenbelt needs more of! This year we’re creating The Library – a room within a room in The Hub – where you can take part in the Great Greenbelt Book Exchange.
So, along with your loo roll, wellies and sausages, bring a copy of your favourite book to Greenbelt ’08. Then drop it off at The Library where you can pick up someone else’s and if you like, have a quiet(ish) read. Childrens' books are welcome too.
Some things to bear in mind when you’re choosing which book to bring:
- Small paperbacks are best – and fit nicely into your rucksack
- Please think carefully before you bring Computers for Idiots or The World’s Worst Towns – try to choose something that someone else might like to read!
- If the book is very precious to you why not stretch to a new copy to bring along, instead of parting with yours for good?
- Please just bring ONE book – we’re hoping that lots of Greenbelters will bring a book and we only have a small space
- Finally, PLEEEEASE note that this is not an opportunity to get rid of books that you don’t want, but an opportunity to SHARE a book that means a lot to you.
