Hope is where your arse is

The story of how Ched got started in peace and justice work – how he heard the gospel from a dumpster and why he seeks a new generation of evangelical activists.

Ched Myers is an activist theologian who has worked in social change movements for three decades.   With a degree in New Testament Studies, he is a popular educator who animates scripture and issues of faith-based peace and justice.  He has authored a half-dozen books, including Binding the Strong Man: A Political Reading of Mark’s Story of Jesus (1988) and The Biblical Vision of Sabbath Economics (2001), and over 100 articles.   Ched is a co-founder of the Word and World School and of the Sabbath Economics Collaborative He and his wife, Elaine Enns – a restorative justice practitioner, live in a small intentional community in southern California and work with Bartimaeus Cooperative Ministries.
