Making Holy Dreams Come True

Singer - Songwriter Garth Hewitt is the director of the Amos Trust, a human rights organisation and is a Canon of St Georges Anglican Cathedral in Jerusalem, and the Guild Vicar of All Hallows on the Wall in the city of London. Garth performed at the very first Greenbelt and since then has produced nearly 40 albums. His latest CD Hidden from View - Songs about Bethlehem, Palestine is being released at this year's festival. The songs on this EP tell something of the story of Bethlehem today and include 3 new tracks produced by Paul Wilkinson of The Amazing Pilots. One song They've Cancelled Christmas (The Wall must Fall) was released on Youtube last Christmas and to date has had 40,000 hits. Garth's latest books are "Bethlehem Speaks - Voices from the Little Town Cry Out" (SPCK) - a collection of interviews with the Palestinian Christian community in Bethlehem, and Holy Dreams to Feed the Soul (SPCK) , a collection of poems and prayers illustrated by photographs by Wilf Whitty (SPCK). Garth will do two seminars featuring these books.
