Stop frame animation Fashions come and go, but Plasticine® is always in. We love it. Come and make a minor epic using the squidgy stuff and we’ll show you how to immortalise it at the tank. We’re running these workshops most of Sunday and then showing them on the big screen at the Not So Royal Premiere on Monday night. Popcorn, anyone? 20.00* Friday, 12.30,14.00,16.00,18.00 & 20.00* Sunday (*for 18+) Back to the top Animation Express yourself in glorious 2D. We’re running animation workshops on Sunday. Here’s your chance to make your mark on the small screen and the web. No experience necessary. On Monday evening, we’ll roll out the red carpet and ping it up big for the world to see. 12.00,14.00,16.00,18.00 Sunday Back to the top Electronic worship Ever made your motherboard sing? There’s sure to be a seriously fat tune lurking in your personal circuitry – and we want to hear it. Our EJ workshop will show you how to create, distort and weld those peaks and troughs into something beautiful. Let’s make a sweet, sweet sound with our keyboards. Hit it! 20.00 Saturday & 12.00 Monday Back to the top Ten Killer apps for PC and Mac This is a showcase of applications that you really should have on your hard drive. They may not all be free or open source, but if they’re good enough, they’ll be in. Look out for utilities, anti-virus, photo editing, office/word processing, web development and instant messaging in this hit parade of software that rocks. 10.00 Saturday & 14.00 Monday Back to the top Building and managing websites: Web Series 1/3 Do you want to put together a decent website for your church, youth group or organisation? Thought so. We’ll look at development systems and online builders. We’ll also talk technical turkey on building and uploading sites, including ways to keep your site current and alive. Plus how to host, where to host, and now you mention it, what is hosting? 12.00 & 16.00 Saturday, 20.00 Sunday & 16.00 Monday Back to the top Podcasting for beginners What is podcasting and is it any use to us? A vital look at podcasting from the users’, and the podcaster\'s, point of view. We will do some downloading of podcasts, produce some of our own and then upload them to the iTunes website. There are now a number of underground and well-known music/radio websites for promoting new music and radio shows; it would be rude not have a look at those too. 18.00 Saturday & 12.00 Monday Back to the top Words on the web: Web Series 2/3 Is copy for the web any different to copy anywhere else? What works on paper doesn’t always work well on a monitor. What makes a reader stick around your site and even drill down into it? We’ll look at some nice words and put them in the right order. We’ll talk about tone of voice, audience and what makes them click. We’ll also do a bit of proofing, polishing and paraphrasing. 20.00 Saturday & 10.00 Monday Back to the top Presentation Don’t hide behind presentation aids, use them to grip your audience. This seminar will cover presentation basics. This is not a powerpoint workshop. OK, we might mention the p word, but we’ll be talking up other toys too. We’ll also peek at type, colour, video and music. And finally, ladies and gentlemen, we’ll be raiding the web for inspiration. Thank you and goodnight. 18.00 Friday & 14.00 Saturday Back to the top Maintaining PCs and Macs How do you keep your computer in tiptop condition? This workshop/seminar looks at the dos and don’ts. Coffee will be served in the foyer. 20.00 Friday & 12.00 Saturday Back to the top Digital imaging: Web Series 3/3 A little bit of a catwalk to show-off the tools available to manipulate images for use on websites. Fight the curse of the red-eye, enhance images and learn to cut out those bits you wish weren’t there. 10.00 Saturday & 14.00 Monday Back to the top Ritual and Electronic music Veteran musician, sound designer, and liturgist Isaac Everett explores innovative ways to incorporate music into worship.
