Call for submissions

We would particularly like to hear from groups whose work in and around churches is of such a high standard that it deserves a wider, discerning audience. We are looking for pieces of no more than 60 minutes, and with casts of less than a dozen. The piece may feature any of the performing arts - scripted theatre, mime, dance, circus, or comedy and sketch shows. It does not need to have a Christian message, but it should be appropriate for a festival audience. Shows which allow the audience to reflect on this year’s festival theme, Heaven in Ordinary, are particularly welcome. The show will be presented in a medium sized venue, and with basic production values. It will have a full listing in the festival guide alongside professional productions. We are unable to offer a fee for the performance, but will be able to negotiate free entrance to the festival for some performers and technicians. To apply, you will need to help us understand the content of the piece, and to demonstrate that your company is well-rehearsed and confident to perform in professional conditions. You can do this by submitting a script (if that is appropriate for the nature of the work) or a simple recording of the piece being performed.
