Greenbelt is, at its heart, a festival— one inspired by Christian faith, the arts and justice.
It welcomes all ages, those of all faiths and those of none. This breadth and creativity is reflected across the spectrum of music, theatre, literature, comedy, poetry, dance, talks, art, film, worship, photography, fashion and digital media that make up its creative programme.
We invite people who inspire and challenge us on our journey, who encourage us to take risks, to live generously and who offer a truly global and inclusive perspective.
Last year’s highlights included a tribute to one of our spiritual mentors Mike Yaconelli, Tennessee’s alt-country gurus Lambchop, Mercury prize-winner and jazz icon Denys Baptiste, theologian Jeffrey John, R&B superstar Jamelia, the beautiful and maudlin Ron Sexsmith, writer and journalist Yasmin Alibhai-Brown, activist Dame Anita Roddick, author and comedian Rob Newman, and Archbishop Rowan Williams.
