Scott Stroman, singer,
trombonist, composer, conductor, and educator, is one of the most versatile and
inspiring musicians active in Europe today. He directs the London Jazz Orchestra, the Guildhall Jazz
Band and Jazz Singers, and London’s Eclectic
Voices choir. Originally from the USA, he has worked with Dizzy Gillespie,
Billy Cobham, Phil Collins, and jazz musicians from around the world. Also a
conductor of opera, orchestras, and choirs, he works with the LPO, OAE, and
Opera de Lyon, directs the London Philharmonic Orchestra’s Renga Ensemble, and leads projects combining orchestra, world, and
jazz musicians throughout the UK and Europe. He has written many pieces for
jazz orchestra and jazz choir, including Jazz
Mass and Jazz Psalms,
commissioned to close the 2010 Three Choirs Festival in Gloucester.
